Grilling is one of the most enjoyable summer activities, but stowing away the grilling gear isn’t.
Luckily, there are plenty of space-efficient hacks that’ll make grilling even more fun without the hassle of organizing your tools each time.
The great part is that all of these options are durable, and most of them are portable. Accordingly, you’ll have a storage solution that lasts a lifetime. Using these solutions, you can even take your grill while camping!
Here are all my favorite storage hacks for grilling gear:
1. Carrying Caddy
Getting a carrying caddy for grilling is the most straightforward way to solve your space problem.
It isn’t just for on-the-go situations. Instead, you can invest in one with a top cover, allowing you to store the gear anywhere!
These containers can hold all your grill equipment in different compartments. This means you’ll be able to organize your grilling equipment, making it easy to find each item while grilling!
What’s more, a carrying caddy is typically made of durable materials. This way, you’ll stow the gear in one place without facing the organizational issue again.
Depending on the available space, you can get a smaller or larger caddy with plenty of pockets.
2. Rolling Cart
A rolling cart is the solution to almost every organizational problem. It keeps the grilling items organized and accessible.
This versatile option is available in sturdy steel, ensuring the heat from the grill and the environmental conditions don’t get to it. In turn, you’ll have the rolling cart for years and might even repurpose it!
You can also purchase attachments to add to your rolling cart, including baskets, containers, and trays.
Once you’re done grilling, the rolling cart will double as storage. There’s no need to move it from your yard. Just leave your items on the cart and protect it with a waterproof cover.
Alternatively, you can roll the cart into the garage or other indoor areas as it is.
3. Chuck Box
A chuck box is made to hold all your kitchen equipment while camping and grilling. So, why not use it to store grill gear as well?
Not only will a chuck box come in handy during your barbecue, as you won’t need to take out any equipment, but it’s also pretty compact.
The best part is that chuck boxes have plenty of compartments, keeping everything neat. The durable materials also mean you can keep the box outdoors without worrying about rust or damage.
As if that wasn’t enough. Most chuck boxes include a work area. This means the only things you’ll need to host a barbecue are your loaded chuck box and a grill.
4. Barbecue Station
A barbecue station doesn’t need to be an extensive project that takes up your entire yard. Instead, some cabinets and drawers by your barbecue stand will solve your grilling issue, providing even more storage space.
You can think of the compact barbecue bar as a stationary grill cart. Like the rolling cart, it’ll include different compartments, but it’ll be made of sturdier materials and include doors and drawers to keep your gear safely stowed.
This rewarding DIY project is easy, even for beginners. Yet, if you want a simpler answer, you might buy a grill station!
I understand this sounds neither budget-friendly nor space-efficient. However, any patio bar table will do the trick.
The key is to ensure the outdoor table is made from a durable material. You might even find one with a designated spot for a tabletop grill.
