My family absolutely loves these spicy breaded fried green beans straight out of a deep fryer in which I wanted to take the recipe on the road for camping in which I cooked them on the Blackstone Griddle. They don’t stay together quite as well but the end result is still so good it is definitely worthy of a post/recipe tag!
Drakes Batter Mix already has the perfect blend but paired with your favorite beer and a hint of heat from the ground cayenne red pepper will have you cooking this for either an appetizer or a side dish over and over again!
Spicy Breaded Fried Green Beans Ingredients
- 1 lb “ish” – Green Beans
- 1 Cup – Drakes Batter Mix (Flour can be substituted)
- 3/4 Cup – Miller Lite (or favorite cooking beer, water will also work)
- 1/8 Teaspoon – Ground Cayenne Red Pepper
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil – For Cooking on the Blackstone Griddle
How to Prepare Spicy Breaded Fried Green Beans
In a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup of Drakes Batter Mix (or flour).
Add 3/4″ of your favorite beer in which you can substitute water.
Add 1/8 teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper.
Mix the batter together well.
Add the green beans in which you’ll want to mix them in until evenly coated.
How to Cook Spicy Breaded Fried Green Beans on Blackstone
With the Blackstone Griddle on high, get the top good and oiled and then add the spicy green beans. Continue cooking, flipping as necessary, adding more oil as necessary until they are done to the way you enjoy green beans.

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl add Drakes Batter Mix, Miller Lite, Ground Cayenne Red Pepper and mix together well.
- Mix in the green beans until they are evenly coated.
- Fire up the Blackstone Griddle on high.
- Once it is heated up lay a good layer of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (or vegetable oil) and add the spicy breaded green beans in a even layer on the griddle.
- Cook to your green bean tenderness liking in which you'll want to flip them and add oil as necessary.
Notes
- If you don't like spicy food, just omit the ground cayenne pepper.
- Water can be substituted for beer
- Flour can be substituted for Drake's mix
- Vegetable oil can also be substituted for the Extra Virgin Oil Oil
