How To Prepare the Breakfast Pizza for the Big Green Egg
To get this breakfast pizza ready for the Big Green Egg all the ingredients need to be cooked. The nice thing about this recipe is they can be cooked and prepped the day before making breakfast that much easier in the morning.

Start out by browning the sausage and then set it aside and or refrigerate it for the next day.

Next place a little extra virgin olive oil in a pan. This will help the fat on the bacon render down and assist with preventing it from burning.

Place the bacon in the pan and cook it, flipping as needed.

Put the bacon on a cutting board and cut into 3-4 – 1″ pieces. Set aside and or refrigerate for the morning.

Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl.

And the milk and mix together as you would for scrambled eggs.

Cook the eggs as you would scrambled eggs. The only difference is you want to pull them just a little bit early. They will cook the rest of the way on the breakfast pizza in the Big Green Egg.

Roll the dough out adding a little flower to prevent it from sticking to the mat and the roller.

Place the pizza dough on parchment paper. You can also use corn meal to prevent it from sticking to the pizza peel, but i find it much easier and cleaner to just use parchment paper.

Add a thin layer of fiesta nacho cheese sauce.

Add a thin layer of the scrambled eggs.

Add the sausage.

Add the Bacon and any other ingredient that you prefer (Bell Peppers, Onions, Ham, Mushrooms…).

Wrap the breakfast pizza up by topping it off with some shredded pizza blended cheese. It is now ready to be cooked on the Big Green Egg.
How To Cook the Breakfast Pizza on the Big Green Egg
The breakfast pizza on the Big Green Egg is cooked as an indirect cook. The platesetter / conv”egg”tor will need to be placed in the BGE with the feet facing upward. Place the pizza stone on top.
Make sure that when the BGE is warming up and cooling down that the pizza stone is inserted. This precaution will keep the pizza stone from cracking.

Once the Big Green Egg is dialed into right around 500 degrees it is time to place the breakfast pizza on.

At about the 4 minute mark, roughly halfway through cooking rotate the breakfast pizza 90 degrees. In doing so, remove the parchment paper.

Continue cooking until the crust is done to your liking (preferably lightly browned on the bottom). Remove and place on a cutting board.

Slice, plate, serve and enjoy this delicious breakfast pizza from the Big Green Egg!
